Job summary

Ravalli County in Montana is seeking a driven Equipment Operator – Truck Driver to support the Road & Bridge Department. You will operate a range of heavy equipment and trucks essential to building and maintaining the county road system, while performing manual tasks as needed.

The role requires safe operation, good communication with crews and the public, and the ability to travel extensively within Ravalli County.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years’ experience operating heavy equipment and heavy-duty trucks.
• CDL-A with tanker, hazmat and air brakes endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (e.g., crawler tractors, loaders, graders, excavators, backhoes, compactors).
• Operate heavy-duty trucks (dump trucks, tractor trailers, snow removal).
• Perform manual labor on road and bridge projects and support work as assigned.
