Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Taylorsville, NC, seeks an Equipment Operator with a valid driver’s license to safely operate bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, excavators, and other heavy machinery along electrical rights-of-way.

You will transport equipment across multi-state locations, install gates and culverts, trim vegetation, and ensure daily maintenance of trucks and tools. This role requires adherence to safety procedures and readiness for hazardous conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Familiar with electrical hazards.
• Possesses working knowledge and be able to identify tree and shrub species.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment such as Bulldozers, Backhoes, Skid steers, Excavator, Loaders, Dump trucks and mowers.
• Transport equipment to and from multi state job locations.
• Install and remove gates, fences and culverts.
• Gathers brush and feed brush into wood chipper; apply herbicide on right-of-way as required.
• Maintain trucks, chipper and equipment in neat, clean, and mechanical order.
• Work around hazardous equipment and in all weather conditions.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
