Job summary

LCI-Lineberger Construction, located in Lancaster, SC, is seeking an entry-level Heavy Equipment Operator Trainee to join an eight-week NCCER-accredited training program.

You will learn safety practices, basic operation, inspections, and site awareness while supporting field operations. This role offers opportunities to advance through Operator levels as skills and certifications are gained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.
• Successful completion of NCCER-accredited Heavy Equipment Operator training is required after hire.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in an eight-week NCCER-accredited Heavy Equipment Operator training class.
• Learn safe work practices, inspections, PPE use and basic equipment operation.
• Assist in supervised classroom, simulator, and hands-on field instruction to build entry-level skills.
• Complete training records, time records and checklists accurately.
• Maintain a neat, safe work area and wear PPE at all times.
