Job summary

Overland Contracting Inc. seeks an Operator Equipment - Heavy 1 to operate power construction equipment for excavation, grading and material movement on active projects.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as an equipment operator and working knowledge of operating and rigging crafts.

Responsibilities

• Operate power construction equipment (e.g., track loader, dozer, backhoe, excavator, scraper, grader, side boom, boring machine, RT Extended boom forklift) per project specs.
• Assemble/operate compressors and pumps; control attachments and drive machines; perform light maintenance and document logs.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew, load/move materials, check fuel, and maintain safety around utilities and hazards.
• Follow safety procedures, participate in pre-job planning, and report accidents/near-misses to supervisor.
