Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-year prior heavy equipment operation experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles, hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays in an industrial outdoor setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety programs.
• Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and loaders as required.
• Move and position scrap material, load trucks and railcars.
• Perform daily inspections on equipment and report defects.
• Maintain yard cleanliness and safety at all times.
• Coordinate with teammates via radio for traffic and safety.
• Cross-train in other positions as needed.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by management.
