Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment with strong safety practices.
• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience in manufacturing, preferably scrap metal or construction.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime, weekends, and holidays in varying outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA safety procedures and participate in safety program meetings.
• Operate heavy equipment including cranes and loaders as required.
• Move material within yard, load trucks/railcars, and assist with yard housekeeping.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report defects to supervisor.
• Communicate effectively over radio with teammates for traffic coordination and safety.
