Job summary

Nucor is seeking a hands-on Production Teammate for yard operations in a fast-paced outdoor setting. You will handle material, assist customers, and operate equipment to keep production moving safely and efficiently.

The role requires endurance for long shifts in heat, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and readiness to work overtime, with paid training and opportunities for growth within operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand or walk up to 12 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and occasionally 15–25 lbs.
• Ability to work in extreme heat and be exposed to weather.
• Willingness to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support daily yard operations by handling material and assisting customers.
• Operate forklifts and other yard equipment as trained.
• Inspect incoming scrap and vehicles and advise customers on materials accepted.
• Maintain a safe, efficient worksite and high safety standards.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service in an outdoor environment.
• Cross-train in other positions and assist teammates as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
