Job summary

Venture Metals invites applications for a Full Time Heavy Equipment Operator at our Houston Plant. The role supports scrap metal processing and site maintenance in a fast-paced metal recycling operation.

The ideal candidate will operate grapple cranes, forklifts, skid steers and excavators, perform routine inspections, and help maintain a safe, clean work environment under all weather conditions.

Outdoor, non-climate-controlled environment; PPE provided; strong safety attitude required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment such as grapple cranes, forklifts, skid steers, and excavators.
• Experience with scrap metal or waste handling is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload scrap metal materials with Grapple, forklift, or skid-steers.
• Assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment to minimize downtime.
• Observe all safety requirements and lead by example.
• Maintain clean and orderly workplace; prepare sites by removing debris and hazards.
• Adhere to service logs and maintenance requirements.
