Job summary

Venture Metals + in Dallas, TX seeks a full-time Equipment Operator to support metal recycling operations and assist with heavy equipment. You will load, move, and help maintain equipment to keep the facility running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with grapple cranes, forklifts, skid steers, and excavators, and are comfortable working outdoors in a non-climate-controlled environment. Safety-conscious teamwork is essential, with a focus on reliable site upkeep.

Qualifications

• Some experience operating Grapple crane, forklift, skid steer and excavator operation / maintenance experience (helpful).
• Scrap metal/waste experience is a plus, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload scrap metal materials with Grapple, forklift, or skid-steers.
• Assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment and industrial recycling equipment to minimize downtime and make improvements.
• Observe all safety requirements and lead by example.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback for coaching.
• Ensure a clean and orderly workplace; clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
• Adhere to, evaluate, and maintain proper service logs and maintenance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Venture Metals + is a fast-growing, metal recycling company looking to grow its operations team with an Equipment Operator.

DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

We are looking for full-time, dual role Heavy Equipment Operator, who will assist with metal recycling activities. Must be motivated, hardworking individuals for our warehouse scrap facility.

• Load and unload scrap metal materials with Grapple, forklift, or skid-steers.
• Assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment and industrial recycling equipment to minimize downtime and make improvements.
• Observe all safety requirements and lead by example.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback for coaching.
• Ensure a clean and orderly workplace; clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; climb; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled / outdoor facility.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
