Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy equipment operation in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment with excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles, hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays in an outdoor industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
• Operate heavy equipment including cranes and loaders.
• Load scrap material onto shredder feed conveyor and move material around the yard.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report defects.
• Keep grounds clear of debris while maintaining safety standards.
• Operate small equipment like forklift or skid steer when needed.
• Assist with general labor tasks such as sweeping and shoveling.
• Communicate over radio with teammates for coordination and safety.
• Cross-train in other positions as needed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
