Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to ensure safe operation and daily maintenance checks on site. You will work under the foreman, operate loaders, excavators, skid steers, and telehandlers, and follow site plans with a strong safety focus.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience and a valid operator certificate; Class 1/CDL with air brakes is a plus, with crane tickets advantageous. On-site roles at project locations across North America.

Qualifications

• Valid operator certification from a licensed provider.
• 3–5 years of heavy equipment experience, incl. excavators and loaders.
• Experience on powerline or utility projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment daily per site plans.
• Complete pre/post maintenance checks and document results.
• Coordinate with Foreman on maintenance needs.
• Maintain clean, well-kept equipment and work areas.
