Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies delivers power infrastructure projects across the United States and Canada. The Equipment Specialist ensures safe operation and routine maintenance of heavy equipment used on powerline projects.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of heavy equipment experience, a valid driver's license, and are willing to travel with occasional overtime. Base pay range is shown, with additional allowances per project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years’ experience operating heavy equipment for powerline or similar industry.
  • Must have a valid driver license with CDL considered an asset.
  • Able and willing to travel and work frequent overtime and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment including graders, excavators, backhoes, front end loaders, lowdrill and tractors.
  • Perform daily pre/post safety and maintenance checks.
  • Load and unload materials and use attachments as required.
  • Follow safety protocols and PPE usage on site.
  • Maintain right-of-way and ensure equipment is safely stored.
  • Participate in SQP and Tailboard meetings.
  • Ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
