Job summary

Charah Solutions, Inc. is seeking a heavy equipment operator to safely manage and operate forklifts, dozers, loaders, excavators, rollers, backhoes, and dump trucks at an on-site location.

The role requires at least one year of heavy equipment experience, a valid license, and a willingness to work nights, weekends, or overtime as needed. The company provides competitive pay and comprehensive benefits reflecting its safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or similar environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of ash management, structural fills and landfills preferred.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, their design, use, repair and maintenance preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and/or move materials (ash, dirt, rock) using heavy equipment.
• Drive and maneuver equipment with blades in passes to level earth or terrain.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and identify maintenance needs.
• Adjust controls quickly to exact positions as necessary.
• Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
