You will perform daily inspections, coordinate with crews, and ensure equipment logs and safety protocols are maintained, contributing to on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Strong emphasis on safety, adherence to OSHA guidelines, and ability to work with spotters and supervisors to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required; technical training is a plus.
• 2–3 years of heavy equipment operating experience in commercial or civil settings.
• Valid Class A or B drivers license with clean driving record.
• Equipment-specific certification(s) such as NCCER / OSHA 10-hour preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators, backhoes, dozers, loaders, skid-steers, and forklifts per guidelines.
• Perform daily inspections, document findings, and report defects.
• Carry out basic maintenance tasks and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Assist with grading, trenching, backfilling, stockpiling, and site cleanup.
• Load, unload, and stockpile materials in compliance with load-securement standards.
• Work with spotters, laborers, surveyors, and supervisors to ensure proper sequencing.
• Follow safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site procedures; participate in toolbox talks.
• Maintain equipment logs, hours, fuel usage, and daily activity reports.
• Provide feedback on equipment performance and participate in training on new gear.
