Job summary

GCC Aggregates is seeking an equipment operator to run front-end loaders, excavators, crushers, and related machinery on a Texas site. You will perform routine vehicle inspections and assist with general site prep and landscaping tasks.

You will maintain a safe work environment, follow plant safety policies, and participate in daily inspections. Training on MSHA rules and lockout/Tagout procedures may be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties.
• Able to operate multiple site equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Operates various equipment including front-end loaders, skid steers, excavators, crushers and screening units as required.
• Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
• Operates various equipment for general site preparation and related assignments.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
• Operates front-end loaders as required.
• Operates excavators as required.
• Operates water trucks as required.
• Operates various equipment for general site preparation, landscaping and related assignments.
• Will maintain a safe working environment, adhere to safety policies and practices, perform daily housekeeping of assigned area, perform daily workplace inspections, adhere to plant policies and proper use of plant radios.
• Should be familiar or willing to be trained on MSHA safety rules, safety procedures for plant mobile equipment, lockout/Tagout policy, confined spaces policy, hot work policy, lubricants, paints/solvents and other environmentally sensitive materials.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Will work where and when needed as directed by plant supervisor to meet plant needs.
