Job summary

Gibraltar US, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate excavators, loaders, dozers, and related equipment on our heavy civil construction projects in El Paso, TX.

You will perform daily inspections, follow grade stakes and site plans, assist field crews, and keep the work area clean while meeting safety and PPE requirements.

Experience with multiple equipment types and a valid driver's license are preferred; strong reliability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in heavy civil construction, site development, excavation, grading, or similar field construction work strongly preferred.
• Experience operating multiple types of heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States (US).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy construction equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, rollers, and other equipment as assigned.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance, mechanical, or safety concerns.
• Excavate, grade, load, backfill, compact, and move materials based on project requirements.
• Follow grade stakes, site plans, and supervisor direction to complete assigned work accurately and efficiently.
• Work safely around ground personnel, other equipment, utilities, excavations, and active work zones.
• Assist with general site activities and support field crews based on project needs.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Follow all company, project, and site-specific safety requirements.

• Valid driver's license and applicable equipment certifications preferred, where required.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
