Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to push/pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs., with occasional up to 100 lbs.
• Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms/legs.
• Hand/eye coordination and depth perception important.
• Must be able to drive cars, trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Able to perform sedentary to heavy work and use hand/power tools.
• Climb and maintain balance on various structures and equipment.
• Able to walk on uneven surfaces and in dusty/loose terrains.
• May work in confined spaces and communicate effectively with supervision.
• Read, write, and comprehend directions and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Understand danger zones and hazards for others around operating equipment.
• Interpret hand signals to determine material placement.
• Work with spotters and flaggers to maintain safety and mitigate hazards.
• Perform minor maintenance or cleaning on tools and equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections on equipment and refuel as needed.
• Report malfunctions to supervisors.
• Prepare and level surfaces to specifications.
• Assist other craft workers as needed.
• Be proactive about safety and recognize safety issues.
