The Texas Department of Transportation in Rockport seeks an Equipment Operator I to perform transportation maintenance, operating heavy equipment including motor graders, bulldozers, cranes, paving machines and dump trucks. The role emphasizes safety, PMI, and teamwork, with on-site tasks and state vehicle operation.

A valid Texas Class A CDL with N endorsement is preferred; pre-employment physical and drug testing are required. Opportunities for hands-on training and career growth are available.

Formación

• Experience in maintenance or construction equipment operation.
• Must hold a valid Texas Commercial Driver's License class A with N endorsement at time of hire.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift heavy loads.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with traffic control; place and gather cones, signs, and barricades.
• Operate PMI and complete required reports (time, inventory, accidents).
• Operate light equipment (front-end loader, roller, broom, etc.)
• Operate heavy equipment (tractor-trailer haul truck, motor grader, excavator, bulldozer, crane, etc.)
