Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation is seeking Transportation Maintenance Tech I/II/III to support roadway maintenance and equipment operation in Texas. Roles include traffic control, routine maintenance, and public assistance during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation maintenance and roadway maintenance is preferred
• Must be able to operate heavy and light equipment and perform PMI inspections

Responsibilities

• Assist with traffic control by placing and gathering cones, warning signs and barricades
• Operate light equipment such as a front-end loader and street sweeper
• Operate heavy equipment including dump trucks and large excavators
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and routine servicing on equipment and complete required reports
