Job summary

TIC_Craft is seeking an experienced equipment operator to handle power construction equipment for excavation, loading, hauling, and grading tasks on road projects. The role involves maintaining equipment, performing routine repairs, and ensuring safe operation across varying terrain.

Responsibilities include trenching and laying out culverts and pipes, inspecting supports and structures, training peers in safe use of tools, and adhering to safety and project rules in all conditions, including

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; field experience preferred.
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Experience using hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely.

Responsibilities

Operate various vehicles and large equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way, including loading, hauling and dumping on rough surfaces.
Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
Trench and construct ditches for culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
Check and maintain all fluid levels and lubrication on equipment.
May train employees in safe operation of equipment and job techniques.
Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or defects.
