Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support daily plant operations by safely operating heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, graders, dozers and haul trucks. The role transports raw materials from railcars to stockpiles and loads finished products for distribution.

You will perform pre-shift inspections, assist with maintenance, adhere to MSHA/OSHA safety rules, and help maintain roadways and loading areas to ensure safe and productive operations. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
• Must read, write and verbally communicate in English.
• Must have basic math skills and ability to read gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, graders, dozers, and haul trucks.
• Transport raw materials from railcars to stockpiles and load finished products.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and report needed repairs.
• Maintain roadways and loading areas in safe, clean condition.
• Assist with maintenance and housekeeping as needed.
