Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking an Equipment Operator II to safely operate heavy equipment and support material handling from pit to plant. You will monitor loading, transport, and loading areas, while maintaining safety standards and complying with MSHA regulations.

The role includes daily inspections, light maintenance, and mentoring newer operators, with a focus on throughput and uptime in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment experience in aggregate/mining environments preferred.
• High school diploma or GED or relevant experience.
• Technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment to transport raw materials.
• Adjust equipment settings to maximize throughput.
• Coordinate equipment positioning to optimize production.
• Ensure cargo loaded safely and prevent spills.
• Maintain haul roads, berms, and loading areas.
• Perform daily inspections and basic PMs.
• Train and mentor junior operators.
• Communicate with operators and trucks via CB radio.
