Job summary

Martin-Marietta-1798b2fd seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to support daily operations by safely operating loaders, excavators, graders, dozers, and haul trucks. You will transport raw materials from railcars to stockpiles and load finished products for distribution, helping maintain roadways and loading areas for safe, productive operations.

Requirements include ability to perform pre-shift inspections, read gauges, follow MSHA/OSHA rules, work nights/weekends, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English.
• Must be able to perform basic math, including fractions, percentages, read gauges and read manuals.
• Must complete pre-shift inspection reports.
• Ability to work irregular shifts, including days/nights and weekends.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and adherence to MSHA/OSHA policies.
• Ability to plan, organize and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, graders, dozers, and haul trucks to transport materials.
• Loads finished products for distribution and transports raw materials from railcars to stockpiles.
• Maintains roadways and loading areas to ensure safe, reliable operations.
• Performs preventive maintenance and reports repairs; supports other plant operations as needed.
• Participates in training and safety programs and adheres to company policies.
