Job summary

Western Rock Products, a CRH Company, seeks an Equipment and Machine Operator to safely operate diverse construction equipment. The role supports excavation work, trenching, and road construction while ensuring accurate time and material records.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience. A valid driver’s license and MSHA certification are required, with physical requirements and safety training emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards.
• Keep time and material records.
• Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
• Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
• Travel between interstate highway and rural job sites.
