Job summary

Mountain Materials Inc is seeking a Utility Operator to work with heavy machinery in quarry and site operations. The role reports to the quarry supervisor and requires adherence to safety protocols, pre-start checks, and potential travel.

A valid driver's license and 18+ age are required. Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, drug screening, background check, and Fit for Work evaluation.

Qualifications

• Multiple years’ experience preferred.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Pass a pre-employment “Fit for Work” physical.
• Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
• Professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the public.
• Report to work at the designated start time.
• Be able to work long hours when required.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist others.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery as part of the quarry and site tasks.
• Collaborate with the groundsman and report to the quarry supervisor.
• Perform daily pre-start checks and maintenance tasks.
• Keep equipment clean and perform basic plant maintenance.
• Follow safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned and travel as needed.
