Job summary

Western Rock Products, a CRH Company, is seeking an Equipment Operator in St George, UT to safely operate loaders, backhoes, haul trucks, and other construction equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining safe slopes, guarding excavations, and recording time and material usage.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years related experience, ability to read simple instructions, and a valid driver's license with MSHA certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1–2 years related experience.
• MSHA certification and a valid drivers license required.
• Ability to read simple instructions and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards.
• Keep time and material records.
• Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
• Know weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
• Travel to various job sites across state lines and rural roads.
• May assist Laborer on site and perform physical tasks related to laying pipe, utility lines, road construction, or laying asphalt.
