Job summary

Lhoist North America is hiring for a Heavy Equipment Operator to support drilling, blasting, hauling, and loading of shot rock to the primary crusher. The role may involve assisting at the Rail Facility with loading/unloading rail cars and transporting lime as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with 1 year of industrial experience and 3 years in heavy equipment preferred; a CDL and higher education are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree and CDL preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of industrial experience; 3 years heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of heavy equipment and adherence to company policies.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Operate quarry and crushing systems safely and efficiently.
• Assist in loading/unloading at the rail facility as needed.
• Maintain quality control by following directions and sampling materials.
• Participate in safety meetings and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
