Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate and maintain mobile equipment in the quarry environment. You will assist blasting crews, pass an ATF background check, and perform pre-shift inspections along with routine plant utility duties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate all heavy equipment listed in responsibilities.
• Ability to pass ATF background check as required for blasting support.
• Demonstrated safety awareness and adherence to protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, haul trucks, skid steer, backhoe, drill) safely.
• Assist primary crusher operation and rock breaker tasks.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and log findings.
• Fuel equipment and record fuel usage.
• Report any issues or deviations during shifts.
• Perform plant utility tasks and site cleanup as needed.
• Support environmental, health and safety initiatives and safety meetings.
