Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate and maintain mobile equipment in the quarry and plant areas. The role includes pre-shift inspections, utility tasks, and supporting blasting activities where required.

A valid ATF background check and ability to perform heavy lifting are essential. Applicants should be able to work on a shift schedule, pass safety policies, and contribute to FSMA/SQF initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-3 years of relative experience.
• Preferred 1-3 years of relative experience in mining, manufacturing, or production environment.
• ATF background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mobile equipment (wheel loader, haul trucks, water truck, skid steer, backhoe, drill).
• Assist with primary crusher operation and rock breaker.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and log fuel usage.
• Follow safety policies and attend safety meetings.
• Conduct plant utility tasks including cleanup, shipping/loading, and equipment inspections.
• Support quality control by logging production data and reporting deviations.
