Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Utility Operator to perform day-to-day maintenance, assist with loading trucks and railcars, and manage lime/limestone waste removal at the plant. The role requires flexibility for shift work and willingness to work outdoors in challenging conditions.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in an industrial environment, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Industrial background and troubleshooting skills required.
• Ability to operate basic computer tools and MS Office.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform General Plant labor in all operational areas of the plant.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of kiln and kiln-related systems.
• Clean bins, conveyers, spills, material from under conveyers and catwalks, and other cleaning duties as assigned.
• Continuously observe, monitor, and report any condition that could lead to equipment failure or a safety hazard.
• Operate heavy equipment safely (vacuum truck, haul truck, bobcat, loader, man lift, forklift, shuttle wagon, tractor).
• Assist maintenance in preventative care and minor repairs of equipment used.
• Learn various entry level positions and cross train in other areas of the plant as needed.
