City of Winter Springs in Florida seeks a skilled heavy equipment operator to support stormwater and public works projects. You will perform routine maintenance, pre/post trip inspections, and operate diverse machinery across city departments.

The role requires readiness for emergencies, strong safety practices, and reliable in-person attendance during city hours. A Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement and FDOT TTC/MOT certification are required.

Formación

• Knowledge of grounds maintenance and general maintenance tasks.
• Ability to read blueprints, grade stakes and site plans.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation in public works.
• Knowledge of safety rules and precautions in the workplace.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor in varying conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Operate heavy and light equipment including front-end loaders, Gradall Excavators, skid steers, and more.
• Support construction and infrastructure maintenance needs for multiple city departments.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment (pre/post trip).
• Transport equipment to/from job sites and city garage.
• Work as essential personnel during emergencies and city activations.
