Job summary

APAC-Kansas, Inc., Shears Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a Construction Laborer - General / Utility in Hutchinson, KS. You will operate a variety of construction equipment and support field teams across multiple sites.

The position offers pay of $19-24/hr depending on experience, comprehensive health/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k), generous PTO, and opportunities for professional growth while upholding safety standards on job sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate construction equipment safely across different job sites.
• Follow OSHA/MSHA safety regulations.
• Report issues or incidents promptly to supervisors or management.
• Adhere to daily assignments and project expectations from the Foreman.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment and report major problems.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and required documentation.
• Help train less-experienced team members in equipment operation, servicing, and repair.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Carry out other tasks as assigned.
