Job summary

ELLET SIGN COMPANY is seeking a mason/excavator to operate heavy equipment and perform worksite operations through manual labor, following architectural plans to ensure proper completion. The ideal candidate has prior construction experience and a strong work ethic to meet the demands of the job.

The role involves operating excavators, backhoes, bobcats, and related tools, coordinating with teammates to keep projects on schedule, and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment and random drug testing (Zero tolerance, drug-free workplace)
• Must have valid driver\'s license, CDL helpful
• Previous experience in construction environment desired
• Strong communication skills with sales staff on projects
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Dependable, punctual; willing to overtime and possibly out of town

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery such as excavator, auger, backhoe, bobcat and power tools per job specifications
• Collaborate with all employees to keep the project on schedule
• Follow safety standards to avoid pipes, wires, and lines – working with GPRS
• Maintain strong attention to detail
• Prepare/install rebar or reinforcing wire, anchor bolts, welding when necessary
• Pour/finish concrete in forms per specifications
• Handle County Inspections at jobsite
• Wear PPE: hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves
• Calculate concrete quantities needed per site
