Job summary

ELLET SIGN COMPANY is seeking a mason/excavator to operate heavy equipment and perform site operations, following architectural plans to ensure the job is properly completed. The ideal candidate has construction experience, is a hard worker, and can meet the physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities include operating excavators and other equipment, coordinating with team to keep projects on schedule, and following safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug test and be drug-free.
• Must have valid driver's license; CDL helpful.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills with sales staff.
• Team player and reliable with overtime.

• Operate excavator, backhoe, auger, bobcat and other power tools per job specs.
• Collaborate with team to keep project on schedule.
• Follow safety standards to avoid hazards.
• Prepare and install rebar or reinforcing wire, anchor bolts and welding when needed.
• Pour and finish concrete in forms per specifications.
• Handle County Inspections at jobsite.
• Wear PPE: hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves.
• Calculate concrete quantities for orders.

Job Summary

ELLET SIGN COMPANY is seeking to hire a mason/excavator to operate heavy equipment and worksite operations through manual labor, following architectural plans and guidance to ensure the job is properly completed. The ideal candidate has previous construction experience, a hard worker with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of machinery, such as excavator, auger, backhoe, bobcat plus any power tools or other industrial equipment as per job specifications
• Work closely with all employees on the job site and help as needed to keep the project running on schedule
• Follow all necessary safety standards to avoid pipes, wires, and lines – working with GPRS
• Strong attention to detail
• Prepare and install rebar or reinforcing wire, anchor bolts etc. and welding when necessary
• Pour and finish concrete in forms according to specifications
• Handle County Inspections at jobsite
• Wear hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves and any other PPE required
• Calculate amount of concrete to be ordered per job site

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment and random drug testing (Zero tolerance, drug-free workplace)
• Must have valid driver's license, CDL helpful
• Previous experience working in a construction environment desired
• Strong communication skills with sales staff on projects
• The ability to work well within a team environment
• The ability to work in all weather conditions
• Must be dependable, punctual and willing to work overtime and possibly out of town

Monday – Friday normal business hours 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with possible starting time 7:0am Bi-weekly payroll with direct deposit only.
