Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a skilled Operator III to operate construction equipment in accordance with safety policies and project requirements. You will perform routine maintenance, observe for malfunctions, and follow pre-task plans in a team-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of related experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read manuals and load charts. This role involves lifting up to 50 lbs and may include additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications as required.
• Minimum one year of related experience.
• Current driver’s license with required endorsements.
• Strong teamwork, customer service and attention to detail.
• Ability to read safety rules, manuals and load charts.
• Able to operate equipment by hand controls and steering.
• Ability to work independently with good communication.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs and repetitive motions.
• Position may change without notice.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment as directed per project requirements.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations at all times.
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned area.
• Perform routine lubrication, fueling and cleaning.
• Monitor equipment for malfunctions and report issues.
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
