Mortenson Construction is seeking an Operator III to efficiently operate a broad range of heavy equipment while adhering to safety policies. The role emphasizes teamwork, precise operation, and adherence to maintenance and task plans on construction sites.

Applicants should have at least one year of related experience, valid driver’s license, and the ability to read and follow complex manuals and load charts. Duties may evolve with project needs and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications required.
• Minimum one year of related experience.
• Valid driver's license and endorsements as required by law.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts.
• Ability to operate equipment and perform basic math.
• Ability to work independently with good listening and communication skills.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs; heavier lifting may require assistance.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as blade, dozer, loader, scraper, forklift/telehandler, crane, bobcat/skid-steer, boom lifts/aerial lifts, roller, backhoe, and track crane
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work area
• Perform routine maintenance, observe equipment operation, and detect malfunctions
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• Perform all other duties as assigned
