Job summary

Holloway Materials Recovery OPCO LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator II in Lost Hills, CA. This full-time, hourly role requires operating excavators, loaders, dozers and related gear to perform grading, trenching and material handling on job sites.

You will work with senior operators and foremen to ensure safe, efficient completion of projects, perform daily checks, and mentor junior operators while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specs.
• Enforce safety procedures on-site and maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively and work well in a team.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of heavy equipment to perform grading, digging, lifting and material handling.
• Perform advanced tasks like land leveling and trenching per blueprints.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and minor repairs; report major malfunctions.
• Coordinate with crew and foremen to stay on schedule and safety standards.
• Train junior operators and mentor team members on safe practices.
• Document daily operations and equipment usage for site records.
