Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is hiring an Operator I to join a small crew and operate heavy equipment on utility construction sites. You will read basic prints and underground sketches, assist with fiber placement, and ensure safety standards and regulations are followed on site.

The role requires 1+ year of backhoe/mini excavator operation and experience around underground utilities, with potential for growth and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of backhoe/mini excavator operation experience.
• 1+ year of digging around underground utilities experience.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute on a year-to-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maneuvers, navigates, or drives vehicles or mechanized equipment.
• Inspects equipment, structures, or materials for errors or defects.
• Reads utility prints and location sketches to verify tasks.
• Lifts and positions materials, sets up traffic control, and assists on utility sites.
• Follows safety regulations and performs duties per company standards.
