Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking an Operator I to join a 2–4 person restoration crew in Colorado. The role requires operating heavy equipment and performing manual labor across utility construction sites. Strong attention to safety and the ability to read utility plans are essential.

Pay ranges from $24.00 to $29.00 per hour, DOE, with non-exempt classification. Candidates must pass background checks and a pre-employment drug screen, and have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of backhoe/mini excavator operation.
• 1+ years of digging around underground utilities.
• 2+ years of dry utilities experience preferred.
• Experience reading basic prints and Underground Facility Location Sketch.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including trucks, front end loaders, dozers, graders, trenchers, backhoes and other equipment.
• Inspect equipment and report defects; perform routine maintenance and safety checks.
• Expose underground utilities manually and follow 811 digging laws.
• Collaborate with team using hand signals to excavate sites safely.
• Follow company and customer specifications for trench or backhoe work.
