Job summary

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator I, II for the Indian Nation Turnpike in Antlers, OK. This full-time on-site role runs roughly 7:30am–4:00pm, performing highway maintenance and operating heavy machinery to repair roadways, shoulders, signs, and related assets.

Level I requires no prior experience; Level II requires one year of heavy equipment operation and a valid Class A CDL, with potential promotion after CDL within six months. Benefits included.

Qualifications

• One year of experience operating heavy equipment (preferred in road construction/maintenance).
• CDL Class A license is required for Level II.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and machinery to maintain and repair highways.
• Perform minor repairs on equipment and facilities.
• Repair roadway shoulders, signs, guardrails and fences as needed.
• Provide traffic control using stop/slow signals or flags.
• Apply herbicide on rights-of-way to control vegetation.
• Remove debris and obstacles from roadways.
