Job summary

Tulsa County's Highway District 3 seeks an experienced equipment operator to manage heavy construction gear, including backhoes, loaders, rollers, and crack sealing units. Under general supervision, you will perform routine operation and maintenance and support road and bridge projects.

Required are a standard high school diploma, 3+ years of heavy equipment operation, and a valid Oklahoma Class B CDL and driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and 3+ years of heavy equipment operation experience.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints and grade stakes; work independently; maintain stamina for heavy labor.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment and trucks as assigned.
• Perform preventative maintenance and report repair needs.
• Assist with higher/lower classification tasks as needed; perform road/bridge crew labor.
