Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; over one year in highway construction or maintenance
  • Ability to read, write and follow instructions; basic mathematical skills
  • Must be able to meet physical demands and safety requirements including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally

Responsibilities

  • Operate motorized equipment for road construction and maintenance (tractor mower, trucks, rollers)
  • Haul equipment, workers and material to job sites
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment and tools
  • Load/unload materials and clean work areas
  • Maintain safety and comply with DOT/safety-sensitive procedures
