Job summary

Tulsa County is seeking a Highway Crewman II to operate various motorized equipment for road construction and maintenance on projects in the Tulsa area.

The role requires experience with light construction equipment, physical stamina for heavy labor, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions. A valid Oklahoma driver’s license is required, with benefits including health care, PTO, and retirement provisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; over one year in highway construction or maintenance
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions; basic mathematical skills
• Must be able to meet physical demands and safety requirements including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally

Responsibilities

• Operate motorized equipment for road construction and maintenance (tractor mower, trucks, rollers)
• Haul equipment, workers and material to job sites
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment and tools
• Load/unload materials and clean work areas
• Maintain safety and comply with DOT/safety-sensitive procedures
