Job summary

The City of Foley is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to operate skid-steers, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and related machinery for drainage and road maintenance. You will determine elevations, assist with masonry work, and coordinate with other departments and the public.

A High School Diploma and at least three years' field experience are required; CDL Class B within one year is preferred. Flair for safety and efficiency is essential as you set up traffic control and perform general

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent mix of education and training.
• Flagger Training and Erosion Control Training preferred.
• CDL Class B required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of machinery including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, skid-steers and graders.
• Performs drainage and road construction tasks and sets elevations for projects.
• Inspects and maintains equipment, checks fluids, tires, hoses, and hydraulic systems.
• Sets up traffic control per MUTCD and coordinates with public and City staff.
• Performs masonry/concrete work for drainage inlets and sidewalks and conducts general labor.
• Assists with maintenance of drainage systems and pipe installations.
