Job summary

The City of Foley, AL, is seeking a landscape worker to perform citywide maintenance, including trimming trees, mowing, and supporting city events and projects.

You will operate a range of machinery such as bucket truck, backhoe, loader, small tractor, boom mower, bush hog, front mount mower, zero turn, chainsaw, pole saw, weed eater, skid steer, and forklift, reporting to the Street Maintenance Crew Leader.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year of related experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Successful applicants must pass a criminal background check (driving record), drug screen, and pre-employment physical.

Responsibilities

• Operates small trucks to haul dirt, debris, rock, solid waste, and landfill material.
• Mows rights-of-way and medians.
• Trims and removes trees and bushes.
• Places traffic cones and/or uses traffic signs and flags to perform traffic control per MUTCD, wearing PPE as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
