Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to keep our transfer stations, recycling facilities, landfills and post-collection operations running safely and efficiently. You'll operate loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts and other equipment, performing inspections and coordinating with teammates.

You'll join a safety-first team that values pragmatic problem solving, teamwork and steady productivity while complying with OSHA and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts or similar heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of equipment safety, preventive maintenance and daily inspections.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, material handlers and other equipment.
• Move, load, transport and organize waste and recyclable materials while maximizing efficiency.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections and document findings.
