Coastal Waste & Recycling Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and other equipment across our transfer stations, recycling facilities, landfills, and related sites.

You will perform inspections, maintain a safe work environment, and collaborate with teammates to optimize productivity while complying with OSHA and environmental standards. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in waste/recycling or similar environments.
• Experience operating loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, or similar equipment.
• Strong safety mindset with daily inspections.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and leadership.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Safely operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and material handlers.
• Move, load, transport, and organize waste and recyclables to maximize operational efficiency.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections for safe operation.
• Identify equipment concerns and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Coordinate with teammates and supervisors for safe equipment movement across the facility.
• Maintain equipment inspection reports and keep work areas clean and safe.
