Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Florida to safely operate loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and related machinery. You will move and organize waste materials across transfer stations and facilities, conducting pre- and post-shift inspections and ensuring safe, efficient operations with your team.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to communicate effectively. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience operating heavy equipment in industrial settings.
• Experience operating loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts.
• Strong safety mindset, preventive maintenance, daily inspections.
• Ability to work independently while communicating with teammates and leadership.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and other equipment as assigned.
• Move, load, transport, and organize waste and recyclables for efficiency.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections and report issues promptly.
• Maintain equipment and inspect reports; assist with basic maintenance.
