Job summary

United Companies, a CRH Company, is seeking a heavy equipment operator to safely and efficiently operate excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, base roller, and loaders on our Colorado job sites. Wage ranges from $22 to $24 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities include daily safety checks, loading/unloading materials, trenching, backfilling, and assisting in building roads and structures. Travel may be required up to 75% of the time, with OSHA/MSHA compliance emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of aggregate, asphalt, and construction industry preferred.
• Knowledge of earth moving equipment preferred.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Report issues to supervisor immediately.
• Load and unload materials from trucks using various machinery.
• Operate excavators, bulldozers, skid steers and related equipment to move earth.
• Dig trenches, holes and foundations as directed.
• Backfill excavations and compact soil.
• Assist in construction of buildings, roads, bridges and elsewhere.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
