Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating various heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders.
• Basic knowledge of machinery maintenance practices for inspection, lubrication and minor repairs.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Strong verbal communication skills for conveying instructions and coordinating with coworkers and supervisors.
• Attention to detail for grading, digging, and material handling.
• Punctual and reliable with regular attendance and scheduling flexibility.
• Ability to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working condition and report any defects or malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
• Operate different equipment types (front-end loaders, dozers, graders, rollers, excavators, dump trucks, vacuum or water truck).
• Execute site preparation, excavation, earthmoving, and material handling per project plans and supervisor instructions.
• Perform routine maintenance including checking fluids, lubricating moving parts, and cleaning equipment.
• Maneuver equipment in confined spaces and around obstacles while ensuring safety of personnel and property.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate attachments and techniques.
• Communicate with supervisors and coworkers to coordinate tasks and report progress.
• Maintain regular attendance, timeliness, and flexibility in scheduling.
