Job summary

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH company, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to move materials and support plant operations. You will operate dozers and loaders, position equipment for loading, and assist with basic maintenance while following strict safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of heavy equipment experience, a valid license, and a willingness to learn. The role includes overtime and on-call duties as required, in a cement plant environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate large vehicles.
• Willingness to learn; training will be provided.
• Ability to perform tasks that include walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Overtime, odd and unscheduled hours may be required and on-call duties shared.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment such as dozers and loaders to move materials.
• Safely drives and positions equipment for loading and dumping materials.
• Inspects vehicle mechanisms and maintains fluid levels; assists with minor service/repair.
• Performs daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Maintains good housekeeping and follows all plant safety policies.
• Dismantles defective machines and installs repaired parts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
